Revolution Regenerative Brake System

The patented Energy-Recovery Hybrid Brake features a regenerative motor positioned between the reel and the pneumatic brake, working in tandem to guarantee consistent braking performance.

Thanks to its electrical axis, the system can detect and prevent slippage by monitoring the RPM differences between the left and right sides of the reel.

Revolution also ensures automated tensioning of rolls of any size, eliminating the need for manual operator intervention and reducing the risk of injury.

To prevent paper tearing, Revolution accelerates the roll during the launch phase and assists in overcoming initial inertia-allowing splicing to proceed smoothly without slowdowns. The result: improved paper quality and reduced waste.

While traditional braking systems waste more than 1 kW of energy per hour (converted into unwanted thermal energy), Revolution recovers excess energy and returns it to the plant’s power grid.

The integrated system also includes a user-friendly control system with a color touchscreen interface for seamless integration with ERP production systems.

Revolution is provided with a customizable flange design to retrofit all roll stands, regardless of shaft or chuck configuration.
