Corrugator Chucks
Our Patent Pending Technology
The newly developed CST Waste Reducer IIITMhas already begun to receive some really great reviews, and we are excited to be able to offer it! It has been developed to eliminate waste, prevent cores from slipping, and allow minimum paper left on the core. A mechanical core chuck with this technology is designed to resist accidental side pressure and axial force. The newly designed adapter ensures lateral contact to the core only, without damaging the paper, while the expansion units have immediate 100% contact with the core. The unique lip design compensates for short or shrunk cores and is designed to accommodate thin-walled cores.
Renova Mechanical Core Chucks are designed for reliable use in today’s demanding industry applications, including the corrugator sector. They combine the best of high-performance with robust parts and reduced maintenance.
½”-expanding jaws get a firm and reliable grip on all core types, worn or not. The jaws expand just by rotating around a central cam, so they continue to perform exactly like they should even if there is dust or corrosion inside the core chuck.
The core chuck casing is made out of one piece of hardened steel that tapers to a complete point, so operators can mount and un-mount rolls without damaging the core. A tapered roller bearing in the nose prevents large amounts of side pressure from damaging the chuck.
The Renova chucks are extremely low maintenance: the entire chuck is made of hardened steel and has minimal moving parts, so there are no wear components that need replacement. The entire mechanical core chuck is quickly disassembled and rebuilt with just one screw, and this can be done while the chuck is still on the rollstand.
At just under 4” when the jaws are collapsed, they easily chuck up to standard rolls in the corrugated industry.
